Dr. Albert P'Rayan who is the author of English Blues, is a professor of the language with over 15 years of experience. Apart from his expertise in teaching ESP (English for Specific Purposes) and EAP (English for Academic Purposes), he is also an ELT (English Language Training) resource person and has organized over 50 workshops in South India for teachers. His papers have been presented at various national and international seminars. Moreover, he has also delivered keynote addresses at UGC-sponsored workshops and meets. Other journalistic accreditations in his kitty include being the editor of ELTeCS which is British Council’s English Language Teaching Contacts Scheme and writing a weekly column called ‘English Blues’ for The New Indian Express. After an 8 year stint in East Africa, Dr. Albert P'Rayan is now Associate Professor of English and Head of the Training Cell at KCG College of Technology, Chennai.
