How is this Diabetic Profile Basic is different from Aarogyam C?
Basic Profile has Fructosamine, Urinary Electroalbumin, Sodium and Potassium which Aarogyam C does not have. Aarogyam C has instead Vitamin B-12, Vitamin D and Testosterone.
Is Fasting Blood Sugar a part of this package?
No. But you can add this test to the package. It will cost Rs.100 additional. Plus PBS will be an another Rs.100
What do these tests mean?
HbA1c
In diabetic patients the glucose gets attached to hemoglobin molecule of red blood cells. This test gives an indication of glucose levels for the last 3 months.
Fructosamine
The glucose molecule also get attached to a protein known as albumin and becomes Fructosamine. This test gives an indication of glucose levels for the last 3 weeks
Changes in blood glucose sugar level are detected faster by this test, and gives us the record of past 21 days.
Particularly useful for anemic patients, elderly people and pregnant woman.

This indicates the current sugar levels. Basically three tests are done
Fasting blood sugar (FBS) - Done after a minimum 8 hours fasting.
Postprandial blood sugar (PBS) - Done 2 hours after taking a meal.
Random blood sugar (RBS) - Done randomly

It is a hormone required by the body to act on the glucose.
